Kahuzi Biega National Park has been facing a high rate of poaching lately. Even protected species such as eastern lowland gorillas and grauer gorillas are no longer spared. Some local communities no longer hesitate to enter the park by placing traps there under the pretext that they are looking for traditional medicines to treat themselves. As a result, the gorillas are the victims of this human barbarity.

Despite this, the manager of the Kahuzi Biega National Park does not get tired, he is working hard to put an end to this very sad situation. We call on the support of all nature lovers and especially all friends of the gorillas to help us through projects in favor of the populations bordering the park to eradicate this phenomenon. The Kahuzi Biega is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is also the last refuge in the world of eastern lowland gorillas where they can be visited in their natural state.
